He scored 296 runs in 14 matches, including three half-centuries, and established himself as one of the most promising young batsmen in the league.


In December 2019, Gill made his debut for the Indian cricket team in the third Test against the West Indies. He scored 45 runs in his debut innings, and although he did not get a big score in the series, he impressed everyone with his technique and temperament. He was soon included in the limited-overs squad and made his ODI debut against New Zealand in February 2020.


Gill's performances in the 2020-21 Test series against Australia were one of the highlights of his career so far. He scored a match-winning 91 in the fourth Test at Brisbane, helping India chase down a target of 328 on the final day. This innings showed his ability to perform under pressure and cemented his place in the Indian Test team.


Achievements:

Shubman Gill's achievements at such a young age are impressive. He has already played for the Indian cricket team in all three formats of the game and has been a regular member of the squad. He has scored over 800 runs in first-class cricket, including four centuries and six half-centuries.


Gill's performances in the IPL have also been noteworthy. He has scored 939 runs in 41 matches, including eight half-centuries, at an average of 33.53. He was also named the Emerging Player of the Year in the 2019 season.
